Village evangelism

Every month, ACTS holds evangelistic campaigns aimed at unchurched villagers. The response to ACTS last evangelistic campaign and services held at Temple Evangélique El Roï was tremendous.

On December 7th, 32 individuals were baptized. These new believers will be able to attend Discipleship Classes that will give them a solid foundation for their Christian faith.

Fati, one of the candidates gave this testimony: “When I came to ACTS College Ezra secondary school three years ago, it was the first time I heard about Jesus. A school friend invited me to a church service where I decided to give my life to the Lord Jesus.

“It was not easy at first because I grew up in a Muslim family. They did not want me to go to church, but I persevered. They finally stopped opposing my decision and this is why I can now be baptized as commanded by the Word of God. I publicly testify that from now on I am a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.”

ACTS evangelistic outreach is one of the highlights for the Christian youth group at El Roï Temple. Their efforts in May, 2015 succeeded in bringing 82 villagers to salvation in Jesus Christ.

The campaign was held on Saturday May 16. During the day, young people went from house to house to share the goods news of our Lord Jesus. Their efforts were successful as 45 people prayed with them for salvation!

Those who gathered in the evening enjoyed music, a Christian film and the message given by a visiting evangelist. At the end of the evening, 37 more villagers came forward to accept Christ as Savior!

All those who wanted prayer were invited to come forward. This was a time of deliverance and healing of the sick. The power of the Holy Spirit was tangible and people glorified the name of the Lord.

In early March 2014, Pastor Pierre held a week of prayer and fasting. In a three-day evangelistic campaign, ACTS sent four teams to five villages and Saonré. During the three days, 195 people gave their lives to the Lord.

Village life is harsh in Burkina Faso. Islam continues to make inroads among the Burkinabe population. But we have a promise that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Please pray for this family and for their work with Temple El Roï among the orphans, students and villagers.
