Temple Evangélique El Roï ministers to the orphans
and to the village of Saonré

As ACTS ministers to the physical needs of widows and orphans, they also minister the love of the Savior.

In 2008 a church was established at the ACTS Center in the village of Saonré. The church was established to watch over the spiritual needs of the children at the orphanage, to facilitate evangelistic campaigns for the community, provide prayer and counseling for patients at the Ellel Medical Center.

There is an open door of opportunity in Burkina Faso for the Gospel to be proclaimed. We don’t know how long the door will be open, so we are working steadily on community evangelism outreach. It is time to do all we can to spread the Good News of the Kingdom.

It is estimated that 50% of the population are Muslim, 40% animist and 10% Christian. Each day one Muslim mosque is being built in Burkina Faso.

Main construction of the permanent building for Temple Evangélique El Roï is complete. Tiles, painting and furnishings still need to be finished.

The cost for the construction of the church was underwritten by a generous gift from one of ACTS' partners, Journey of Faith Church in California.

Below are photos of services held at Temple Evangélique El Roï. The design of the church is unique for village churches. The building incorporates space for a baptistry as well as a large sanctuary for worship services.

baptizing

In November 2010, a baptism service was held at the church where 27 children and adults were baptized at Temple Evangélique El Roï. The Lord is faithful and looks after widows and orphans. He promises that those who seek Him will find him.

Each month, an average of 290 widows attend prayer meetings and benefit from donations of food. Their lives were enriched through prayer time and Bible teaching.

Pastor Kaboré is on staff to assist widows and orphans in their spiritual walk of faith.

Children being baptized come from various backgrounds...some come from Muslim families and some from animist families. These are exciting days for ACTS. We can see the signs of the end as Jesus foretold in the scriptures happening before our eyes.

If you or your church would like to designate a gift towards the church building fund we would make sure it is applied to Temple Evangélique El Roï.

ACTS Center in Saonré is dedicated to giving a hand up and not a handout to the forgotten ones of Burkina Faso...widows and orphans.
