SEMINARS AND CONFERENCES

Workshop - Caring for Children in Times of Disaster-- An ACTS' workshop for NGO leaders in Burkina Faso. Participants outlined procedures and ways to unify response in times of disaster when children's lives are at stake. An action plan is in place for response when disaster strikes. Graduates of the classes received certificates.

Women’s Leadership Conference -- For five days 400 women from all evangelical churches in the country learn how to improve their leadership skills.

Women’s Prayer Conference – ACTS brings 1,000 women from every ethnic group to Ouagadougou for three days of teaching and prayer. The goal is to stir up women to pray for the country and the world.

Writing Seminars and Workshops – Workshops are held twice annually for approximately 25-30 writers to improve their writing skills in French and local dialects.

Every year writers' workshops like the one pictured at the left are held. The group in the photo were working on the production of a book in Gulmanchéma, another language spoken in East part of the country. Literature is needed to strengthen the work of the churches as there are many unreached people in that region.

Seminars are held for leaders in the church and community to assist them in using ACTS publications.
