Isaiah 41:17  “When the poor and needy search for water and there is none… then I, the LORD, will answer them. I, the God of Israel, will never abandon them.”

Nature’s drought vs the rain of the Spirit
The year has been a very hot and dry one for Burkina Faso. Some wells stayed dry even after last year's seasonal rain. This is the situation at the ACTS Hope Center. There is something even more significant happening--the Lord is pouring spiritual water on dry souls.

Lord pours out of his Spirit
We are grateful to the Lord for the men, women and children who have heard the Good News through programs run by ACTS. As seeds are planted some make immediate decisions for Christ; others, especially from Muslim backgrounds, first count the cost of making a decision.

An open air campaign was held that included a drama about freedom in Christ. The pastor from ACTS church in Gobi gave a message and villagers responded to the altar call to accept Jesus as Savior.

Young adults, fired up by the discipleship course taught at Temple Evangélique El Roï, went door to door in the village with the Good News of the Gospel.

After reading the main verse for the Bible lesson one student said he understood what Jesus had done for him and he would like a Bible.

Fortunately, one of our donors gave money to purchase Bibles and one was available to give him.

Eight girls (6 from Muslim families) who were students of the sewing class gave their lives to the Lord. They need prayers because it is not easy for them to go to church. Each one has been given a Bible with encouragement to read it.

During the year, Israël Ilboudo organized outreach campaigns that drew crowds to hear music, speakers and see Christian films. The hearts of women were transformed through programs to bring knowledge to increase their income and to bring healing to their bodies. All those involved saw the Lord provide for their needs time and time again. He is true to His promise to never abandon them.
