The book of Nehemiah tells how the walls of Jerusalem were rebuilt at the end of the Babylonian Captivity. The Holy Spirit moved upon Nehemiah to rebuild and repair the walls of Jerusalem.

Nehemiah's directions to the workers were to build with part of the workers looking for the enemy with weapons in hand while the half worked on the walls. (Nehemiah 4:15-19)

The ACTS staff and vocational students are building and praying. We need partners that will pray and we need partners that will give financially for the supplies to build the walls. We are depending on you. Will you become part of our team of Builder-Warriors?

Like Nehemiah, we have an enemy that wants to steal, kill and destroy. We must be alert and watchful to stop his activities. And we must repair and rebuild the walls around the ACTS compounds.

Secure walls surrounding the ACTS compounds are a necessity for keeping orphans, supplies and equipment safe from intruders. This project will finish the construction of a cement block wall around the three main compounds which comprise the facilities built by ACTS in Burkina Faso. The well-built facilities are a temptation for thieves. Even the buildings themselves are unique and draw attention to the compounds. Students at College Ezra secondary school are at risk of injury and abduction as motos and cars can drive through the compound.

ACTS buildings are physically located in two sites in the village of Saonré on both sides of the main road from Ouagadougou.

Sufficient funds were available to rebuild the wall around the original ACTS Center where vocational training, pre-school, Ecole la Solidarity primary school and storage and outside cooking area are currently located.

The welding vocational class members were delighted to have the job of constructing a new gate for this enclosure. They came up with a design and were able to complete and install the new gate.

However, 2) the area where Ellel Medical and Dental Center, Temple Evangélique el Roï and College Ezra secondary school are located still need repair.

A chain link fence with steel poles was stolen after being installed along one side of the second area surrounding the Ellel Medical and Dental Center. After this incident, it was decided that we would continue to build walls using cement block construction.

new walls

Due to the cost of cement, the project was put on hold. With additional orphans, students, equipment and supplies it is imperative for the walls to be built. We wish to keep children safe from intruders. At the same time, the supplies and equipment necessary for our programs need to be secure.

Additional funding is needed to complete the walls around the secondary school and construct gates for that compound. Total cost for the project is $6,000. If you would like to contribute towards this project, please send a donation with a note indicating Nehemiah Project to:
