Because of the socio-economic and political situation, the next year does not look hopeful for the people of Burkina Faso.

ACTS is pleased to announce a new training course to encourage and train young people in business. This entrepreneurial project is in partnership with Regent University.

The Business Development Center (BDC) fosters courage, develops skills and sets individuals in their own business enterprise. Those who are trained don’t wait for employment to come to them. A new business is envisioned and launched while taking the course. In Burkina Faso there are neither government employment programs nor agencies providing such training.

The training is not just theoretical, but develops skills with practical assignments. Visiting businessmen and women from Burkina, Europe and the USA tell of their experiences and give encouragement to students.

ACTS will soon launch Business Development Center, Burkina Faso in partnership with Regent University at Virginia Beach, VA in the USA. The BDC offers practical training in entrepreneurship, immediately available for anyone who wishes to start and grow a business.

We invite you
On July 18, an introductory presentation of the BDC will be given at the Conference Center and Hotel Ouindyide. The meeting is open to the public. If you wish to attend contact ACTS at +226 78 56 99 36.

Are you the type of leader people want to follow? You can be--but first, you've got to understand what sets great leaders apart from all the rest. Certainly, leaders need people skills, execution skills, a deep knowledge of industry trends, the ability to articulate a vision, and more--they must be competent--but that's just the tip of the iceberg. It is what's deep inside the best leaders that makes them different.

Course will feature hands on practical assignments so that when students graduate they will have already launched a business and will be well on their way to a better future. Visiting businessmen will offer practical advice and answer questions from students. The goal is to create a positive encouraging atmosphere to germinate ideas and draw from experienced men and women.

After successful completion of the 8 week course, students should be able to:

1. Articulate a worldview of business and entrepreneurship founded and operated on ethical principles, and explain your calling to business as an entrepreneur.

2. Describe the character and competence of an ethical entrepreneur and articulate a personal plan to continually learn and grow in both.

3. Through purposeful observation, identify viable business opportunities before others notice them.

4. Design a business with a unique value proposition whose parts work together to achieve the goals of the business.

5. Demonstrate your ability to win customers based on your value proposition and to satisfy them before, during and after the sale.

6. Set up a system to measure mission-relevant results of your business and to control the processes necessary to achieve those results.

7. Demonstrate your understanding of the people shills required to successfully launch and grow a business through class discussions and demonstrate basic competency in these skills (through action-learning assignments).

8. Demonstrate the persuasion, tenacity and resourcefulness of an entrepreneur by completing action-learning assignments and launching a business.

Business principles and Biblical life-guiding principles for success will be taught at the BDC BUrkina Faso.
